Privacy notice.
What we collect, why we collect it, and what we will never do with it.
Who we are. Chuks Properties Academy Limited (CPAL), RC 8324784, of Emegoz Plaza, beside Ezenei Junction, along Asaba-Benin Expressway, Asaba, Delta State, Nigeria. We are the data controller for the information described here.
What we collect
Through the subscription form we collect your name, home address, date of birth, gender, occupation, marital status, nationality, country of residence, phone numbers and email address, together with the name, address and relationship of your next of kin, and the details of the plot you are applying for. Through the contact form we collect only your name, email, phone number, location and your message.
Why we collect it
To process your subscription, confirm plot availability, prepare your survey plan, deed and allocation documents, and to contact you about your purchase. Your date of birth and identification details form part of the legal record of ownership. Your next of kin details allow your family to establish their claim without dispute if anything happens to you.
Who we share it with
Only where it is necessary to complete your purchase: our surveyors, our legal advisers and the relevant land registry. We do not sell your information. We do not pass it to advertisers or list brokers. Where a CPAL realtor referred you, we confirm to that realtor only that your subscription came through them.
How long we keep it
Subscription records are kept for as long as we are required to hold the ownership record, and for as long afterwards as Nigerian law requires. Enquiries that do not become purchases are removed once they are no longer active.
Your rights
Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 you may ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct anything that is wrong, ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it, and withdraw your consent at any time. Write to info@cpalgroup.com or call 0806 789 8622 and we will respond within thirty days.
A word on fraud
We confirm bank account details with you directly, by call or in writing. We never send account details through a status update, a group chat or a forwarded flyer. If you receive account details claiming to be from CPAL through any of those channels, call the office and check before you act on it.
